Paediatrics

All our doctors have post-graduate training in Paediatrics and are happy to welcome our younger patients. If you are told we are fully booked when you phone for an appointment, but feel your child needs to see a doctor urgently, please say this to the receptionist and we will ensure that your child is seen. Children for the first three years of life suffer from on average 5 viral infections per year. Many of these can be managed at home with Calpol/Neurofen, plenty of fluids and rest. Most of these infections are viral and do not respond to antibiotics. If your child is unwell and under 3 months we should see your child that day, please inform reception that you need an urgent appointment.

2 week and 6 week checks are performed free under the Combined Ante Natal Care Scheme

Child Health Surveillance , checks on your child’s growth, height, weight, developmental , eyesight and hearing checks are carried out at your local Public Health Clinic but if you have any concerns we can address them during an appointment.
