    Mary graduated from The Royal College of Surgeons in 1996. She undertook postgraduate training in hospital medicine in Ireland. She worked in a large range of medical specialities including Cardiology, Respiratory medicine, Rheumatology, Gastroenterology, Anaesthetics, Paediatrics, Psychiatry and Emergency medicine. Whilst specialising she atained Diplomas in Child Health, Psychiatry and Family Planning. She completed the GP Vocational Training Scheme in 2002.

    Her special interests are:

    • Female Health / Menopause

    • Paediatrics

    • Preventive Health

    • Musculoskeletal Examination & Management, including certain joint injections

    • Teaching

    • Dermatology

    • ENT

    Mary was born in Dublin, is married and has two children

  • Dr Simon Kelly

    MB, BCh, BAO(hons), LRCP & SI, MICGP

    Simon graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in 2015 and completed his higher specialist training in General Practice in 2020. Prior to pursuing medicine, he trained in Psychology in Trinity College, Dublin. He has extensive experience, having completed rotations in paediatrics, A&E, psychiatry, general medicine and obstetrics. Simon remained with Calderwood Family Clinic after completing his training in the practice.

    His special interests include:

    • Mental Health

    • Men’s Health

    • Musculoskeletal Medicine

    Simon was born and raised in Dublin.

  • Dr. Ciara Lambe

    BSc(Physio), MB BCh BAO, DOWH, MRCPI

    Ciara is a graduate of the RCSI GP training scheme with extensive experience in hospital medicine.

    She originally trained as a physiotherapist in Trinity College Dublin before studying medicine in UCD. After completion of her medical degree in 2014, she spent 3 years working in hospitals in a wide range of medical specialities and became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians Ireland.

    She has completed additional qualifications in Women’s Health and Dermatology and spent time further developing skills in neonatal paediatrics at the Baby Clinic in the Coombe Hospital.

    Her areas of special interest include:

    • Medicine for the Elderly

    • Paediatrics

    • Women’s Health

    • Dermatology

    • Musculoskeletal

    Ciara is originally from Tuam, Co. Galway and lives in Dublin with her husband and 1-year-old son.

  • Practice Nurse - Rachael Marum

    Rachael has been nursing for the past 20 years, she is also a qualified Midwife.

    Her areas of interest are women’s health, sexual health and pregnancy related care . Rachael loves working in the practice setting as she can utilise her existing skills but is always learning new ones too as she gets to know her patients and their needs.

  • Practice Manager – Mrs Georgie Sliney McCormack

    Georgie is responsible for the overall managerial, administrative and financial aspects of the practice. She ensures the smooth daily operation of the surgery and a high standard of performance by the staff. She is the focal point for any management matters concerning the practice. Georgie has over 15 years of experience working as an office manager. She has completed the Practice Management Diploma in the ICGP. As Practice Manager, Georgie is experienced in dealing with both staff and clients. She understands the role GP’s have in the health and caring profession. This comes across in her manner dealing with all issues, and Georgie works hard to ensure all parties are treated with care, attention and respect. Georgie is here to ensure that the team all work in a cohesive manner to meet the needs of the practice population. Any comments or complaints about any aspect of our service may be dealt with through her, ideally at the time an issue arises.

  • Carmel Hennessey

    Recruited to the Calderwood Family Clinic in May 2012, Carmel lives locally and as a past pupil of Maryfield College will be re-tracing her school day footsteps on her walk to work. Carmel brings a wide range of experience to the role, having worked in Beaumont Hospital for 21 years providing administrative support to many departments. She understands the importance of treating patients and their families in a respectful, caring and confidential manner. Carmel recognizes that good communication is an essential requirement when it comes to customer/patient care, that is, the ability to listen carefully and deliver messages in a clear and concise manner. She is empathetic and discreet and looks forward to providing you with a professional and friendly service when you walk through the door.

  • Gemma Macken

    Gemma joined Calderwood Family Clinic in March 2023. In the past Gemma has worked in the CRC and for a number of financial companies. Gemma is professional, caring and respectful in all aspects of her daily work.

    She has a keen interest in Architecture and Interior Design as well as baking.

    Gemma is a mother to 3 children.

  • Megan Kenny

    Megan joined the Calderwood Family Clinic team in September 2014 as an intern. Megan is from Dublin and brings experience in administration in the health sector. Following successful completion of her internship, Megan joined the team on a full time basis. She has decided to further her education in the area and has completed a Certificate in Medical Administration through the ICGP. Megan is always friendly, approachable, calm and professional. She has an excellent relationship with our patients and looks forward to building on this. She is a GAA fanatic and Liverpool supporter.
